    Kellie Chandler, AMFT

Specializing in Maternal Mental Health & Marriage Therapy

    **Supervised by Brandi Hess, LMFT

You don’t have to escape your life to find peace.

Families are beautifully complex. They can be our greatest source of joy and connection while also bringing uncertainty, overwhelm, and emotions that leave us feeling stuck or ashamed. If you’ve ever wondered, “Why is something I love so much also so hard?”—you’re not alone.

Kellie Chandler earned her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and specializes in maternal mental health, parenting, adolescent therapy, trauma-informed care, anxiety, and depression. She is passionate about supporting families in the early years of parenting, especially as they navigate the intensity, identity shifts, and emotional complexity that often come with raising children. She also enjoys working with parents of both neurotypical and neurodivergent (“neurospicy”) children, helping families build connection, understanding, and confidence in their relationships.

Kellie also works with teens and their families, creating space for adolescents to feel understood while strengthening communication and connection at home. She brings a systemic lens to her work, always considering the relational patterns and emotional environments that shape individual experiences.

Trained in EMDR, Kellie believes deeply in the possibility of post-traumatic growth—the idea that healing does not mean returning to who you once were, but becoming someone stronger, wiser, and more compassionate through what you’ve been through.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness, while also honoring clients’ spirituality and personal meaning-making when it is important to them. She believes that healing is not something that happens only inside a therapy room—it happens in kitchens, cars, classrooms, and quiet moments in between.

This belief is why she is a strong advocate for telehealth. Therapy becomes part of real life, allowing clients to practice new skills in the environments where their challenges actually occur. Rather than waiting for life to calm down, Kellie helps clients build the skills to find steadiness within it. Again and again, she is amazed by the brain and nervous system’s capacity to adapt, heal, and create new patterns of safety and connection.

Kellie also brings humility to her work. Having experienced her own mental health journey, she understands that healing is not about perfection or having all the answers—it is about finding tools that work, practicing them with compassion, and allowing space for growth over time. She believes every person has the capacity for healing, resilience, and hope, no matter where they are starting.

Outside the therapy room, Kellie values beauty, creativity, and meaning in everyday life. She finds joy in books, films, music, stage productions, nature, and the imperfect, ordinary moments of parenting. She is also learning to golf thanks to her husband, which continues to be both humbling and unexpectedly enjoyable.
