Due to the importance of the psychological dimensions of infertility, there may be a need for a mental health evaluation of individuals or couples who are considering utilizing third party reproductive options, including surrogacy or using donor egg/sperm/embryos, known or unknown.  

Your doctor may refer you for this type of evaluation to determine your emotional readiness for this kind of reproductive intervention.  As part of a multidisciplinary team, we have specialized reproductive mental health clinicians who are able to meet with you for a comprehensive interview (usually 3-4 hours) to submit our recommendations to your doctor. 

Because this is not a covered benefit by most insurance companies, this service will be billed as a ‘SELF PAY’ service.  The fee ranges from $300 – $500 per evaluation.  This fee includes: review of your personal & medical history, providing a thorough and in-depth psychological evaluation & interview of each party (as appropriate) and submitting a written recommendation to your provider.
