Lindsey Batista received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England and is licensed as a clinical social worker. She has worked in community mental health for over four years with adults who are severely mentally ill and with those on the autism spectrum. She also has experience treating adults and teenagers with anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, trauma, and learning disabilities.
Lindsey is very passionate about understanding the experiences of people. She is a firm believer that people can overcome difficulties and challenges, especially with the aid of spirituality in their personal lives. She is trained in working with individuals, couples and families using solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, sand tray therapy, and play therapy.
Lindsey enjoys music, traveling, swimming, experiencing new cultures, cooking and trying new foods. She enjoys being with people and learning from other’s experiences. However, nothing compares to spending time with her family and friends. For Lindsey, family means the world. She would love to see others have the relationships they desire with their families and friends.
