    Working from a client-centered approach, Tawni believes in the transformative power of empathy and in the healing that comes when we create space in our lives for restorative experiences. She enjoys working with clients in all the various stages of their healing journey. 

    Tawni works with children, teenagers, and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief, neurodiversity, and interpersonal/relational stress. She utilizes expressive arts therapy, narrative therapy, logotherapy, social-emotional awareness training, healthy coping strategies, mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed play therapy to help empower her clients to find peace and courage as they move toward emotional wholeness. 

    Therapeutic Approach

    Tawni is trained and certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAGALA) and in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI). She has worked internationally with underserved populations, providing trauma-informed therapy to refugee children and their families. She has facilitated mental healthcare workshops and enjoys helping people understand their own mental/emotional health in accessible and practical ways.

    Education & Training

    Tawni is licensed as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in the European Union and went on to receive her Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating with Highest Honors.
